JMCGH Intensive Care Unit:  Non-Urine Sites Only

Gram Positive Organisms

  1. Coagulase Negative Staphylococcus
  2. Enterococcus Species
  3. Staphylococcus Aureus
  4. Streptococcus Pneumoniae

NOTES:

  • All beta lactam antibiotics are automatically reported as resistant on an oxacillin (methicillin) resistant Staphylococcus species.  Speciation of Coagulase negative staphylococcus is only performed when specifically requested by the physician.
